William shatner had a sassy response to his “Star Trek co-star George Takei, who poked fun at the 90-year-old actor’s body shape in the middle of his historic space flight this week.
Speaking to Twitter on Friday night, Shatner accused Takei of only becoming relevant when he checks it out.
“Don’t hate George. The only time he’s in the press is when he talks badly about me,” read Shatner’s tweet.
He continues: “He claims that over 50 years ago I took away a camera angle that denied him an extra 30 seconds of prime time television. I now give it back to him letting him spit out his hatred. for the world to see! [pig emoji]. “
The latest development came this week when Takei poked fun at Shatner’s fitness in the middle of his flight over Jeff Bezos’ Blue origin.
“He boldly goes where other people have gone before,” Takei, 84, said on Page Six when asked if Shatner made history as the oldest person to ever be. in the space.
“He’s a guinea pig, he’s 90 years old and it’s important to know what’s going on,” Takei added at the opening of “Thoughts of a colored man” Wednesday evening.
“So 90 years old is going to show a lot more about the wear and tear of the human body, so it will be a good specimen to study. Although it is not the fittest 90 year old, so it will be an unfit specimen!”

The actors quarreled for years in the public arena. Takei accused Shatner of ignoring him on set and altering the script for “Star Trek V” so that Takei’s character does not receive command of a spaceship.
Takei also called the “TJ Hooker” star “very self-centered.”

Shatner also shot Takei. He once claimed that there was something Takei was “deleting, and it makes him unhappy that he’s coming after me.” He called Takei’s public criticism “sad.”
The 90-year-old actor joined Blue Origin, vice president of mission and flight operations for New Shepard. Audrey Powers as well as Dr Chris Boshuizen and Glen de Vries as they took off from the aerospace company’s last suborbital space flight on Wednesday.
