Verstappen wins Azerbaijan GP as Ferrari suffers double whammy | Race News

BAKU: Formula 1 championship leader Max Verstappen won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in a Red Bull one-two on Sunday as Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc pulled out of the lead with a problem of engine.
Mexican Sergio Perez, winner of the previous race in Monaco, was second on the streets of Baku with Briton George Russell completing the podium for Mercedes.

Verstappen’s win made up for last year’s agony, with the young Dutchman denied victory by a tire puncture with five laps remaining. He was the sixth different winner in six races in Baku.
