Roasted Twitter users Vice President Harris for distributing cookies made in her image to journalists on a plane while she was traveling to meet the President of Guatemala.
The Vice President traveled to the Central American country on Sunday to meet Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei on his first trip after being appointed by President Biden to lead diplomatic efforts in the region amid the border crisis .
In the back end of Air Force 2, however, Harris handed out cookies in his likeness, made in the style of his official White House portrait.

USA Today political reporter Courtney Subramanian shared a photo of the cookies online, prompting a reaction from users on Twitter.
GOP President Ronna McDaniel took a hit at Harris, saying cookies were “the modern equivalent” of the famous quote from French Queen Marie-Antoinette.
“Handing out cookies with his face on them as the border crisis rages on…” McDaniel wrote. “The modern equivalent of ‘let them eat cake’.”
Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, R-Pa., Lambasted Harris for distributing the cookies, claiming that while she was doing this the cartel was making millions.

“[Harris] distributes cookies to the press with his face on as the cartel earns hundreds of millions of dollars smuggling drugs and children across the southern border, ”Reschenthaler wrote. “All of this is possible thanks to the policies of the Biden / Harris administration.
Conservative commentator Matt Walsh called the cookies “disruptive behavior” and Republican congressional candidate and former Clinton aide Buzz Patterson tweeted that Harris’s level of narcissism was unknown.
“As a former military aide in the Clinton administration, I never even imagined this level of narcissism,” Patterson wrote. “And, all on YOUR tax dollars, America!”
“Democrats, even you can’t be cool with this,” he added.

The cookies collapsed even further online, with the image quickly going viral.
During his visit with Giammattei, Harris told the Guatemalan president that tackling the influx of migrants to the border is a “shared priority” between the two countries after Giammattei blamed the United States for the influx of migrants .

Giammattei objected to the “root cause” explanation and said the two “are not on the same side of the coin” on the issue.
Instead, he blamed what he saw as a more welcoming message to migrants by the new administration for the increase.
“The message has also changed: ‘We are going to reunite the families, we are going to reunite the children,” he told CBS News. “The very next day the coyotes were here organizing groups of children to take them to the United States.
