Tommy Lee quit Mötley Crüe’s first reunion show after playing five songs due to broken ribs, according to reports.

Lee announced he broke his ribs before the first Stadium Tour show, but insisted he would still perform.

“Dude you ain’t gonna believe this shit,” he wrote on Instagram. “I broke four f–kng ribs!”

“But I rested and healed and even though the doctor told me I shouldn’t perform at all, you know I’m stubborn and I’ll go through the pain at every gig for as many songs as I can.”

Lee added, “We’ve all been waiting for this moment for years and there’s no way I’m going to miss it! Let’s keep the show going.”

The drummer played five songs with the band, including “Wild Side,” “Shout at the Devil” and “Too Fast for Love,” according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

The stadium tour includes Mötley Crüe, Joan Jett, Def Leppard and Poison. The tour was originally scheduled to take place in 2020, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The tour kicked off Thursday night with a show in Atlanta and is scheduled to run through September 9, with the final show taking place in Las Vegas.

“Here we go! We don’t think we’ve ever been so excited to kick off a tour like this,” Mötley Crüe previously said in a statement. “We can’t wait to finally see all the fans across North America again. Get ready for a wild ride this summer!”
