“And in two years, I have a dream with a House on our side, and a Senate on our side, and the White House on our side,” continued the South Carolina Republican. “We’ll show America what leadership looks like.”

Scott said the GOP “will show America how you recover from a punch” and that Republicans are “the party of the big opportunity” who believe “in the future of this nation because we believe in the freedom of you, the individual, in America.”

“We’re not going to break you down based on your color, where you live, we’re going to help you get your money back,” he continued. “It’s called tax cuts.”

The GOP senator also called the party an “inclusive party” as well as a “parents party” and pointed to the Red Party’s track record of job creation while in the majority.

Scott pointed to the “7 million” jobs created under a Republican majority, “two-thirds” of which were filled by “women and minorities,” adding that the GOP doesn’t “do it for blacks or whites or the Reds or Brown People, we do it for America and the Americans.”

“We don’t care how you look,” said Scott, the only black GOP senator currently in office.

“That’s what we’re so desperately looking for: leadership that doesn’t divide us into little tribes so they can sell fear and division,” he continued. “We need a leader who stands up and says, ‘Wake up, no more. “”
