Suzanne Somers Explains How She Calmly Confronted Nearly Naked Intruder At Home Streaming

The last thing Suzanne Somers expected during a Facebook Live session with fans was an almost naked stranger who showed up at her house.

In February, the “Three’s Company” star was demonstrating her various makeup products on video when she suddenly stopped and asked her producer husband, Alan Hamel, “Is anyone here? ? I just heard from someone. ”

His wife brushed aside the noise, insisting it was a frog. However, Somers said she heard “a voice”.

Assuming it was a guest who had arrived at her Palm Springs, California property early, the 74-year-old invited the person to where she was sitting. The actress quickly realized that the intruder was not someone she expected and that he barely had any clothes on.

“I’m talking to the audience and all of a sudden I hear my guest coming from the left here,” Somers recalled Thursday to Heather Dubrow’s World podcast on PodcastOne. “I felt, well, they’re like an hour and a half earlier. So I tell them because I can’t see them because it’s dark, ‘Hi, come in.’ ‘

When the man got closer, Somers exclaimed, “Whoa, who are you?”

“Unknown in my house,” she said on the exit. “Lucky for him, he was mostly naked. So I could see he wasn’t carrying a gun. He had a little bikini and flip flops. I live in the mountains. How did you get there I do not know . He didn’t know how he got there. I asked him his name. He told me his name. The guy is clearly high. [the] black as freezing cold – I had a black turtleneck dress – there is something wrong with them. “

While the encounter was frightening, Somers told the outlet that in some ways she felt ready to handle the confrontation. She described how her alcoholic father was abusive as a child.

“We spent more nights hiding in a locked closet than sleeping in our own bed,” she admitted. “And I was the kid in the family at age five who thought it through, put us in the closet, didn’t fall apart, shut everyone up. I managed it. I managed it because I learned to operate. a crisis.”

“So when this intruder came in the other night and he’s naked he’s clearly high and probably dangerous because none of his presence is right, that instinct that I had as a child went woke up and I became very calm, ”she continued. “And I said, ‘You have to go.'”

Somers also shared that she and Hamel, 84, had attended “gun lessons” before the meeting.

“My husband has had guns his whole life,” she said. “But I didn’t. I know now that I prefer a revolver to a semi-automatic because for women, revolvers are a more manageable weapon. But I knew it. [Alan] was here. My husband was going to protect us. So it was probably on my mind. But he brought it out. I treated him with great respect, drove him down the hill in the golf cart. Put it in front of the door. “

Somers added that Hamel had his gun. And when the stranger was taken down the hill, Hamel was armed and accompanied by someone else.

“When he was there a fan of mine called the police,” Somers said. “And so the police were waiting for them out front.”

Somers said she interrupted the show to call the police. It was then that she learned that the authorities were already present because a viewer had contacted them during the streaming session.

“I had to [still] put my spirits on me, “she said.” But anyway, if you’re ever in a crisis, you wanna be with me. “

Recently, Somers told Extra that when the man approached her, he said ghosts were following him. He also gave her “a gift”, which she refused.
