Supernovas beat Velocity by 4 points to win the Women’s T20 Challenge | Cricket News



PUNE: Supernovas won the Women’s T20 Challenge 2022 with a four-point victory over Velocity in the title clash here on Saturday.
It was the Supernovas’ third triumph in the tournament.
Sent to bat, Supernovas posted a competitive 165 for seven in the 20 overs allowed.
Deandra Dottin had the top score with a sparkling 62 from 44 balls, while skipper Harmanpreet Kaur flew in for a 29-43.
Among the Velocity bowlers, captain Deepti Sharma finished with handsome numbers of 2/20, while Kate Cross and Simran Bahadur also accounted for two wickets apiece.
In response, Velocity finished at 161 for eight, with Laura Wolvaardt not missing on 65-for-40 balls.
Alana King was the Supernovas’ most successful player, collecting 3/32 in four overs.
