Sonia Gandhi hospitalized due to Covid issues: Congress | India News

NEW DELHI: Congress Speaker Sonia Gandhi was hospitalized on Sunday due to Covid-related issues, party spokesman Randeep Surjewala said.
“Congress Speaker Smt. Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital today due to Covid related issues. She is stable and will be kept in hospital for observation,” Surjewala tweeted.

Earlier, there were reports that the Congress speaker had visited the hospital for a routine checkup.
Sonia had tested positive for Covid earlier this month.
The Congress leader was asked to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 23 in a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper.
Gandhi, 75, had previously been asked to give evidence on June 8 but was unable to appear for questioning as he was infected with Covid-19. The agency then convened later that month.
