Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Case: Gangster Bishnoi Brought Before Chief Judicial Magistrate of Mansa Court | Punjabi Cinema News

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was brought before the Chief Magistrate of Mansa Court on Wednesday by Punjab Police in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.

Bishnoi was taken to Punjab after Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Tuesday granted permission to Punjab police to arrest mobster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala and also cleared the transit request of the Punjab Police.

Lawyer Vishal Chopra representing Lawrence Bishnoi opposed the Punjab Police’s request and said there was a security threat. It is feared that Lawrence Bishnoi could be “eliminated” if the removal in transit is granted.

Bishnoi’s attorney argued that we do not object to virtual questioning and investigation. “We just object to his physical return in transit to Punjab. Punjab Police can arrest him if necessary but in Delhi only,” he added.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village, Mansa district of Punjab on May 29. The incident took place a day after his security was removed by Punjab police among 424 other people. Notably, the singer had joined the Congress party last year in December ahead of the Assembly elections.
