Senator Ted Cruz doubles up after John Boehner tells him to ‘Go F *** Yourself’

US Senator Ted Cruz doubled down on his response to former House Speaker John Boehner after telling the Texas Republican to “fuck off” in a leaked audio recording.

“I think he was probably recording at nine or ten in the morning, so obviously he already had too much wine that day,” Cruz told the Daily Caller on Saturday. “This guy is a little disturbed.”

On Friday, Cruz mockingly tweeted that he proudly wears Boehner’s “drunken and swollen contempt” alongside a clip from an upcoming CBS News interview with Boehner in which he calls Cruz a “jerk” and the accuses of “making a lot of noise” but of not being particularly productive in Congress.

“The swamp is miserable,” Cruz tweeted. “I proudly wear his drunken, puffy contempt. Please don’t cry,” the lawmaker joked, referring to Boehner’s reputation for appearing publicly moved at different points in his career.

The ex-speaker took several photos of Cruz, in particular during the recording of his audio book when he would have told Cruz to “f —” himself in several moments outside the scenario.

In the CBS interview, Boehner says he doesn’t like to “beat anyone” but that he would make an exception for Cruz.

“Perfect symbol, you know, to be elected, to make a lot of noise, to draw a lot of attention to yourself, to collect a lot of money, which means you will make more noise, collect more money, ”Boehner told CBS about how he views Cruz’s political career.

Boehner, an Ohio Republican who served as Speaker of the House from 2011 to 2015, has been touring interviews to promote his book, “On The House: A Washington Memoir,” which will be released next week. Boehner represented the 8th Congressional District of Ohio from 1991 to 2015.

Cruz joked about it at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida in February, saying, “John Boehner made the news. He suggested that I do something that was anatomically impossible. answer was, “Who is John Boehner? ‘”according to The Hill.

Cruz noted on Saturday that “the main insult on the spine of the book is a different insult that he addressed to me”.

“He seems to have a bit of an obsession,” said Cruz.

When asked if he was considering writing a book about Boehner in response, Cruz made it clear, “I’m not planning on writing a fortune cookie about him.”
