Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara lead the way with their Father’s Day wishes | off the field



NEW DELHI: Several Indian sportsmen, including cricketing icons Sachin Tendulkar, Cheteshwar Pujara and famous boxer Nikhat Zareen, among others, took to social media to celebrate Father’s Day, saying they had been the “most great support system” of their lives.
Tendulkar posted a video on social media and wrote, “Every child’s first hero is their father. I was no different. Even today I remember what he taught me, his unconditional love and how he let me find my own way. Happy Father’s Day everyone! #FathersDay.”

Pujara posted a photo of his family and wrote, “My support system through everything. Wishing all the amazing dads a very #HappyFathersDay!”

India cricket captain Rohit Sharma, who is currently touring England with the team, wrote: “As soon as I became a dad, keeping my baby girl safe is all I want. That Whether I’m on her back or her crib, her safety is my responsibility. Being there for her is always my priority because it means the world to me. #HappyFathersDay.”


Veteran cricketer turned politician Kirti Azad tweeted: “#HappyFathersDay. politics today.

Two-time Indian Premier League champions Kolkata Knight Riders posted images of Pat Cummins, Aaron Finch, Sunil Narine and Ajinkya Rahane with their children and wrote: “Day to celebrate first superheroes! Wishing a # HappyFathersDay to all the amazing dads! #FêtedesPères2022 #AmiKKR.”
Mumbai Indians also did something quite similar, posting images of Kieron Pollard and Ashwin Murugan with children and writing: “Every child’s guide, inspiration and role model. A very # HappyFathersDay to everyone out there.”

India’s world champion boxer, Nikhat Zareen, posted an image with her father and wrote, “Here is the man who always provided me with a safe place to land and a hard place to take off from. My rock, my superheroes and all I have! Happy #Father’s Day Daddy!”
