Rep. Boebert appears to catch Rep Nadler sleeping during Garland’s hearing

Representative Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., Tweeted a video that appeared to show House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, DN.Y., asleep during a congressional hearing Thursday.

“@JerryNalder sleeps at work… again,” Boebert tweeted with the video, which zoomed in to show Nadler sitting on the platform with his eyes closed for at least 11 seconds.

The official House Judiciary GOP Twitter account also uploaded Boebert’s video, tweeting: “Maybe that’s why he didn’t let us play our video.”

Nadler and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, had a heated exchange over whether Jordan would be allowed to show parent videos at school board meetings.

During the hearing, Attorney General Merrick Garland was confronted with questions from the lodge Judicial Committee on a wide range of topics, including its recent memo to Department of Justice employees on responding to incidents of violence or bullying targeting state officials and local school boards.

When Nadler said Jordan was supposed to have provided 48 hours’ notice to the committee regarding any video, Jordan said, “This is a video about parents at school board meetings. Moms and dads speaking at school board meetings. do we play it? “

Nadler responded by reading the 48-hour notice rule.

At one point in the hearing, Nadler also called Jordan as well as Reps Matt Gaetz of Florida and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia for not wearing masks.

Nadler’s office did not respond to Fox News’ request for comment in time for publication.

Nadler has already come under scrutiny for allegedly napping during Congressional hearings, including during former President Donald Trump’s impeachment hearing in December 2019.
