‘Radhe Shyam’ Hindi first weekend box office collection: Prabhas’ romance saga earns 14 crore | Hindi Movie News


Prabhas and Pooja Hegde weaved an engaging romance saga with ‘Radhe Shyam’ and although it was well received across India, Hindi collections are weak. The film debuted with a Rs 4.50 crore on Friday and continued with the same trend throughout the first weekend.

This movie earned Rs 4.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 5 crore on Sunday. Despite big names and a promising romantic narrative, the Hindi version of “Radhe Shyam” didn’t catch the footsteps as expected. The period love drama totals Rs 14 crore nett. The Mumbai, CP Berar, Hyderabad and Marathawada circuits recorded a decent collection, but “Radhe Shyam” received a lackluster response in the North. It faced stiff competition from Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s “The Kashmir Files”. The Telugu version of ‘Radhe Shyam’ is gaining hugely at the box office, having crossed Rs 100 crore.

Talking about working on “Radhe Shyam,” Prabhas had told ETimes in an interview, “I never showed my hand to anyone and the story was so good. It was like something unique and different in love. I never believed in palmistry, but I wanted to hear his story, and every second I was like, wow, that’s really good. I think I should do this. And I told him that and it’s very interesting the way the story unfolds, the twists and the climax and the light feeling…it’s very good. And the ship episode, the visuals, the director’s design, the sound design, everything.
