Queen Elizabeth II is working to mend her relationship with Sarah Ferguson.
The Duchess of York, 61, was once married to Prince Andrew until 1996. She made headlines after – and even during – the divorce for her public life and business activities and it is understood that the shares Ferguson created a wedge between her and her ex. -the husband’s family.
However, royal author Tom Quinn believes Ferguson could work things out with Queen Elizabeth II, his former mother-in-law.
In a recent Channel 5 documentary titled “When Fergie Met the Monarchy,” narrator Glynis Barber said there was a “silver lining” for reconciliation between the two women, according to Express.

“I think the Queen is mellowing in her old age,” Quinn replied. “I think very tentatively the queen is saying ‘Look, we’ll just try, but if you take the wrong foot, everything will stop again.'”
In the documentary, Barber said the change began after Prince William’s wedding and at that point “the Queen began to cautiously invite Sarah to certain events.”

“Sometimes she’s invited to Balmoral, she’s been to Ascot,” Quinn noted.
Additionally, Ferguson was invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018. However, she was not present at William’s wedding to Kate Middleton, which Express says is due to her involvement in a payment for access.
Things got tense between Ferguson and the royals after their split from Andrew in 1992. At the time, she was spotted sunbathing while an American kissed her toes.

She is also known to have accumulated a large amount of debt and been the subject of an arrest warrant in Turkey after shooting footage in a state orphanage.
