Prince Edward got a pretty witty response when asked about his nephew Prince Harry and Meghan marklethe explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey that saw the couple put the british royal family on the breath.
The Earl of Wessex and his wife, Sophie Wessex, recently took part in a question-and-answer session with Britain’s The Telegraph, where they were asked if they had watched the two-hour Sussex shoot that aired on March 7.
“Oprah who?” Edward joked. His wife then followed suit, responding with humor: “Yes, what interview? “
Rather than directly discussing family tensions, the Earl and Countess of Wessex hinted at the progress members of the Royal Family have made since the CBS special aired.

Edward revealed it was “nice” to have a “long conversation” with Harry when the Duke traveled to the UK from his home port in California to attend Prince Philip’s funeral.
On the CBS special, Harry, 36, revealed that his relationship with William and their father prince charles they broke up. He explained how family divisions have prompted the couple to step away from royal duties.
Markle described feeling so isolated and miserable within the royal family that she had thoughts of suicide. The former American actress also said a family member had “concerns” about the color of her unborn child’s skin.
The family member was not Queen elizabeth ii or Prince Philippe, according to Harry, sparking a wave of speculation about who it might be.
The old one “Suit” the star also addressed a story that had previously been reported, alleging she made Middleton cry before her May 2018 royal wedding to Harry about a wardrobe disagreement.

Markle informed the media mogul, 67, that “the opposite had happened” but said the disagreement was quickly crushed.
Markle explained that days before the wedding, Middleton was upset with the bridesmaid dress Charlotte was supposed to wear.
“It made me cry and it really hurt me,” said Markle. “And I thought in the context of everything that was going on at the time leading up to the marriage, it didn’t make sense not to just do what everyone else was doing, which was trying to be together.”

However, Markle noted that the alleged feud that created such media fodder ended almost as quickly as it started thanks to Middleton’s apology.
Thirty-six hours after the comments were broadcast, the palace issued a written statement on behalf of the Queen, Harry’s grandmother.
“The whole family is saddened to learn how difficult the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the palace said. “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are cause for concern. While some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be treated by the family in private.”
William also insisted that his family is not racist.

The couple’s departure from royal duties began in March 2020 over what they described as British media intrusions and racist attitudes towards the Duchess. The couple now reside in the coastal town of Montecito, Calif., And they are expecting a baby girl this summer.
