Premier League club Chelsea say final deal reached for sale to Boehly-led consortium | Soccer News



LONDON (Reuters) – Chelsea said on Saturday a “final and final agreement” had been reached to sell the Premier League club to a consortium led by Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly and backed by Clearlake Capital.
Former owner Roman Abramovich is facing sanctions from the British government. He put the London club up for sale in early March following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“The transaction is expected to be finalized on Monday,” Chelsea said in a statement. “Club will update further at that time.
