Piers Morgan slaps his chest while revealing UK ITV network’s chunky wigs desperately want him to return to “Good Morning Britain” after Talking Head storms the show’s set in March following remarks he made about Meghan Markle.
“They reached out – there were approaches,” Morgan, 56, told The Sun Friday, adding, “Never say never.”
The show has reportedly seen a lull in the months since the outspoken editor quit the program in a dramatic fashion – and in Morgan’s first print interview since leaving, he haughtily touted his ability to recover those who had reversed the chain.
“I have no doubt that I could bring the notes back to where I left them – but the doubt is, would anyone be allowed to do it this way again?” Morgan said. “I was hired to give very strong and honest opinions, which I did. But in the end, I was asked to apologize for a sincere opinion.”

Morgan sharply criticized Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s allegations of racism against the royal family in their revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The fallout from his rebuke led him to quit ‘Good Morning Britain’ in mid-air after being called out for his consistently negative opinion of the Duchess of Sussex before it was announced he would not be returning to the program by day.

At the time, the TV personality was championed online by Sharon Osbourne, who later left “The Talk” after receiving criticism for finally allowing his comments, which many believed carried racist overtones.
Now, in an apparent about-face, Morgan has alleged ITV bosses have crept back in a concerted effort to bring Morgan back to the popular breakfast-hour program.
“I brought out some pretty random third-party probes to see if I would consider a return to the series,” he told British media. “I don’t mean who, but a fairly close third.”
The British specialist added: “As the Americans say, they have reached out – there have been approaches to test the water as a result of their obvious hearing problems.” It makes me sad to see all of the the hard work we did to beat the BBC by viewing the numbers evaporating so quickly. It’s their problem to train … but never say never. “

Despite the stalemate Morgan and the network seem to be having right now, ITV is still set to broadcast a special featuring “Piers Morgan’s 100 Life Stories” on Sunday, May 30, in which Morgan “will look back on some of his favorite moments” from the interview series since its debut in 2009.
Suffice to say that the media mogul hasn’t run out of job vacancies since his now infamous tirade, but said he is taking the time to assess the good situation for his future.
“I have some interesting discussions, but the nature of television is changing – the way people watch it and consume it. So I’m definitely going to do something in front of the camera – that’s just how it manifests”, a- he declared. “I saw Simon Cowell recently and of course he gave me my first big break in America. We walked for three hours. I had terrible blisters but I didn’t dare tell him because I ‘felt like he was going to continue until one of us surrendered. “

Morgan added: “We talked about a few opportunities – I would love to work with him again. My kids only saw me on ‘GMB’ on YouTube – some of my stuff had 20, 30 million visits – and that’s that’s how young people watch stuff these days. So there’s no reason I can’t do it on my own. “
“I already have a fledgling production company and I’ve had a lot of people who want to invest in me; give me a lot of money to do my thing,” he insisted. “So who knows? But it’s exciting.”
