Ms. World’s Facebook, a beauty pageant for married women, posted a photo of Schneider with the title Ms. World.

Jurie relinquished her title earlier this month, while defending her decision to remove the crown from the head of this year’s Ms. Sri Lanka title holder Pushpika De Silva, who she said was not not qualified to enter the April 4 competition because she was divorced. .
De Silva said she was separated, but not divorced, from her husband.

“Being apart is one. Divorce is something else,” she said on Facebook.
Jurie, who is also Sri Lankan, was accused of injuring De Silva during the television contest. Four days later, she was arrested on charges of “simple injury and criminal force” and then released on bail.

Jurie said she stood against “injustice” and that the contest was “tainted”. She said she wanted to make sure that every candidate had an equal chance.
Ms World Inc. said in a statement Tuesday that “Jurie’s decision to voluntarily resign was made solely by Caroline herself.”

The incident with the contest, which the Prime Minister’s wife attended, created an uproar in Sri Lanka, which will host Ms. World’s final event this year.
