A Missouri mother has been found dead after apparently diving from a balcony at a Mexican resort town during spring break, according to a report.
The unidentified woman was traveling with her child and other St. Louis area high school students to the Now Jade Riviera Cancun station, KTVI news station reported.
She is believed to have fallen from a room on the fourth floor of the complex on Wednesday.

One of the trip students stumbled upon the scene after the body was found.
“As we entered the trip, we said to ourselves, ‘This will be the best time of our life. It’s gonna be awesome, “McKenzie O’Neal told the news channel.
“I don’t think we ever imagined the worst things that could have happened, that we could be involved. We could see it. It’s really scary.”
A station manager said authorities determined the death was an “accident.”
“We have been informed that authorities have determined that the tragic incident that recently occurred at Now Jade Riviera Cancun was the result of an accident,” the official told the media outlet. “We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”
A spokesperson for the US State Department confirmed the death, but did not provide more details on the circumstances that led to the incident, the outlet reported.
The department said the agency was monitoring the investigation by local authorities.

Ava Scaglione, who is a student at Lafayette High School, said others seemed shaken by the tragic turn of events.
“You could see the looks on people’s faces. It was really heartbreaking,” she said on the exit. “Again, you never know what to expect. With a snap of your fingers, something might go away.”
