Jill Duggar shared several videos on her Instagram Story on Wednesday explaining why she was freezing her son’s stuffed animals.
Samuel, the four-year-old son of the “19 Kids and Counting” star, is severely allergic to dust, she shared. His allergist suggested freezing the stuffed animals to get rid of the dust, Duggar, 30, told his Instagram followers.
“So I freeze Sam’s fluff again,” Duggar said.
“I should have done that [already], [it’s] long awaited now. He has allergies, like I said before. Her allergist recommended that I freeze her lint or put it in the dryer. But sometimes I feel like the dryer is a little harder on them, so I freeze them. “

“I wrap them up to keep moisture from getting in while they’re in the freezer,” she wrote on the video, noting in the next clip that the items will stay inside the freezer for two to three days.

Duggar said her son was already on the mend after she gave him some of his allergy medication.
“I gave her more of her allergy meds this morning,” she said. “So Sam just has, like, unusual dust allergies. It was like, his one thing they said was super bad, so I hope he’s better.”
