But on Saturday at the Open, Thai golfer Jazz Janewattananond took that to another level.

On the 11th par 3 hole at Royal St. George’s, the 25-year-old hit his tee shot in the bunker to the left of the green.

His bullet ended up too close to the bunker wall for him to stand and swing to comfortably fire his second shot, so he had to improvise.

With her club in her hands, Janewattananond was perched above the bunker with her ball a few feet lower, swaying on her knees.

Although he had to play from that unorthodox base of play, Janewattananond proved he was up to the task as his shot ended a few yards from the flag.

The excellent approach shot allowed him to recover to make a par and move on to the next hole without taking too much of a hit.

And just hours after completing his third round, Janewattananond posted a video on his Instagram showing he had practiced that exact shot before in the training area.

“Sometimes you do the right shot at the right time,” said the world number 144.
