Harper and Goff have been dating since early 2019. The couple recently flew to Florida to celebrate Harper’s appearance in this year’s issue.
According to SI Swimsuit, Harper grew up in Southern California and began pursuing a modeling career at age 20 to help pay for college. The outlet described how she was often pushed away by agents and clients to lose weight, but Harper opted to continue modeling without shrinking to fit the fashion world’s standard size. She was the 2021 Swim Search winner and featured as a rookie this year.
CHRISTIE BRINKLEY, 68, SHOWS “MY BLUE TWO-PIECE BIKINI BODY”: “WOW, YOU NEVER AGE! »
“Being named a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie is more than an honor for me,” Harper said at the time. “To be in the same conversation as the icons that have graced the pages of SI for decades is truly surreal. I’ve admired the women of SI all my life, seeing bold, smart, and beautiful women with stories unique to a young age is what gave me confidence to not only go through life, but also to pursue a career in modeling.”
“It really is a moment of closure for me – if I had never opened an issue of Sports Illustrated Swim 13 years ago, I don’t know if I would be the same woman I am today,” said added Harper.
Harper noted that being part of the magazine “has always been my ultimate dream”.
“Every year I would ask my agents to try and get me a casting call with SI and I never really got there,” she said. “I realized that life is too short to wait for opportunities to come your way. I decided to take my dreams into my own hands and pursue what I have wanted all my life and it was the best decision that I’ve ever taken!”
Goff is preparing for his second season with the Lions after being traded by the Rams last January.
