MUMBAI: David Warner’s unbeaten 92 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) game here on Thursday was one of the best runs Rishabh Pant has witnessed from the sidelines, the skipper says Delhi Capitals (DC).
Warner’s magnificent 58-ball effort helped Delhi beat SRH by 21 points.
“The way he hit, the way he paced the innings, it’s one of the best innings I’ve seen (in the Delhi camp),” Pant said during the post-presentation. -match.

He also praised Rovman Powell who had an unbeaten 67 on 35 balls.
“We knew what he (Powell) could give us, we backed him and he is coming out with flying colors now. We only take one game at a time and try to give our 100%. Good and important win for us .”
Playing against his old franchise, Warner said he doesn’t need any extra motivation.
“It’s a very nice wicket, I’ve had success here. I knew if I played my shots it was going to come out.
“It’s tough here in Mumbai with the humidity and I was baked there backwards, I’m getting older. Having Rovman at the other end was amazing. I didn’t need any extra motivation, we got considering what happened before, it was good to get the win,” said the Australian.

SRH suffered their third straight loss.
“You know for us it’s just a return to the drawing board. An outstanding move from David Warner and later Powell. Fantastic learning opportunities for everyone. Umran was a fantastic find,” said said skipper Kane Williamson.

“You learn from the best when you face them. Things can change quickly if we put things together. They had a beat in the middle order. Those two (Pooran and Markam) were good.
“I just try to play a role for the team. Stay patient. Every team is strong. Try to contribute to the team’s cause.”
