Little-known Patidar from Indore slammed a 112 from 54 balls to singlehandedly win the IPL Eliminator for Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday night.
“It was one of the best rounds I’ve ever seen under pressure from Rajat Patidar, and I’ve seen a lot of that,” said Kohli, who had added 66 with Patidar, during the Game Day segment of RCB.

“That level of hitting in this game is a certain level of hitting. Watch out for him!” he said.
With Patidar playing hammer and tongs, RCB posted an imposing 207 for 4, a tally that proved enough as LSG went 193 for 6 to exit the tournament.
Wicketkeeper hitter Dinesh Kartik, who shared a 92 from 41 balls with Patidar to take the RCB past the 200 mark, also praised the 28-year-old.
“It was probably the best innings by an uncapped player I’ve seen. Outstanding batsman. He’s very cool, calm and has a shy personality. It shows in his stick, you get the feeling he’s lazy but that’s just his personality.
“A lovely, hard-working guy with a shy personality. Rajat Patidar played some really good shots and made it easy for me, that’s a key factor in a good team.”
RCB will face Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifying game on Friday.
