Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship processor chipset, which will likely become the next default chipset for Android flagships until the next one is released. And it’s joined by a rather modest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 features the Cortex-X2 main core clocked at up to 3.2 GHz. And the other two clusters are 3x Cortex-A710 performance cores running at a frequency of up to 2.8 GHz and 4x Cortex-A510 cores with a clock speed of up to 1.8 GHz. Moreover, this one is made on TSMC’s 4nm node process.
