Vice President Kamala Harris said on Tuesday she would travel to the US-Mexico border, but did not specify when.
“Yes I will and I have done it before,” she said in response to a question about her intention to visit the border. “Listen, anyone, especially if you’re from California, you know I spent a lot of time at the border both physically and aware of the issues.”
Harris, who spoke as she wrapped up a two-day trip to Guatemala and Mexico, has been constantly criticized for her inability to get to the border since her appointment to head diplomatic efforts to end the migration crisis in March.
