“General Hospital” star Kirsten Storms reveals she is recovering from brain surgery: “Sorry for the shock”


Soap star Kirsten Storms has revealed she is on the mend after undergoing brain surgery this week.

The “General Hospital” actress took to her Instagram on Friday, showing off in a neck brace during a ride home with her friend Emme Rylan, who is also an actress.

“Therefore, [I’ve] not really talked about it or not at all in fact. Less than 48 hours ago, I had a brain operation hence the neck brace. It was in the lower part of my brain. Emme looks after me until I get to my home nurse. The last few days have been interesting, ”Storms, 37, said in an Instagram story.

“Sorry for the shock, guys,” she wrote on the video.

The actress said the operation involves removing a non-cancerous cyst.

“What they had to drain and remove was not cancer. I want to clarify this now before the internet goes crazy over rumors about it,” she continued. “I had a really big cyst that had split in half and the doctors said it was so full the pressure was very noticeable when they opened my skull. It looks so strange. So I’ll be fine. for the next few weeks, but I’ll be back to work once this is over. “

Storms seemed to be in high spirits as she and Rylan joked that she was still a big fan of knitting and planned to knit things while she recovered.

“Let’s see if I can speak a foreign language now. Maybe I can learn some things,” Storms added.

She also pointed out that Rylan, who was in the driver’s seat, did not accompany her home immediately after the operation.

“I had the surgery a few days ago, so yes, I was in the hospital for a few days. I won’t be brought home right after brain surgery,” the ‘Zenon’ star continued. .

The Disney Channel alum added that she felt “like shit”.

“Forgive my tongue but I feel like I won it today,” she laughed before thanking Rylan for “taking care of me.”

Storms is known to have played the role of Maxie Jones in “General Hospital”. She also starred in “Days of Our Lives” as Belle Black and appeared in many original Disney films including the “Zenon” films and played a role in several episodes of “Kim Possible”.
