This James Bond needs a license to relax.
British ex-prisoner who shares one name – and little else – with good-natured spy 007 has been sentenced to 27 months behind bars after threatening to ‘shoot cops in the teeth’ during standoff six o’clock, reported the Sun.
Bond, 55, left his Manchester neighbors shaken and restless after drinking vodka, not a martini, playing loud music and banging on his wall after skipping his antipsychotic drugs, the outlet said.

He was seen vomiting and falling in his backyard before launching a rant at his neighbors, who were left “intimidated” and “nervous” by his wanton behavior, prosecutor Lucy Wright said, The Sun reported. .
“You are going to be leather,” he cried. “You are all going to have it!” I’ll shoot you!
When the police were called a second time, Bond grabbed an orange BB gun and hid upstairs, where he launched a verbal attack on them – telling them he would “shoot them in the teeth” then. that he was brandishing the weapon at them.
After a six-hour standoff, he finally surrendered.
Bond, who has 18 previous convictions for 28 offenses, told Minshull Street Crown Court he was struggling to cope with the loss of his father to COVID-19 just weeks before the incident.
His lawyer Iain Johnstone said he had not taken his antipsychotic medication, adding that Bond was at risk of losing his mother, who was hospitalized to the illness the same night.
She has since passed away.
“He is a gentleman who has succeeded despite the difficulties he has encountered,” said Johnstone.
“He immediately gave the indication of a guilty plea and it appears to be a one-time incident,” he said.
“The reality is (this case) is a 55-year-old drunk in his own home with mental health issues. It’s not the type of situation that represents a serious disorder,” Johnstone added.

Judge Sophie McKone said Bond’s actions had been a “very frightening experience” for her neighbor.
“You kept being aggressive and yelling at people for hours on end. It went on for hours and it was only after several hours of negotiating that you surrendered,” she said. “It has led to fear and terror in the streets.”
Bond pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm with intent to instigate fear of violence and using threatening words and behavior. He was sentenced to 27 months as a slammer.
