Elon Musk took to Twitter on Friday night to discuss Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s future after the dramatic six-week trial, which is now in the hands of the jury.

“I hope they both move on. At best they’re all amazing,” Musk said in response to podcaster Lex Fridman’s tweet.

Fridman prompted Musk’s response with submissions following the defamation lawsuit.

“My takeaways from the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard lawsuit: 1. Fame is a hell of a drug (to some). 2. Psychiatrists and lawyers have very different skill levels. 3. Lying to millions of people is something humans are capable of. 4. Love can be messy. 5. A mega pint of wine.”

Following the subpoena, Musk’s attorney, Alex Spiro, told Fox News Digital that his client would not speak.

In 2019, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor sued Heard for $50 million in defamation damages after he published a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post alleging she was a victim of domestic violence. In 2021, Heard countersued Depp for $100 million.

Both sides presented their closing arguments on Friday and are now awaiting the jury’s verdict.
