ELLE & Chris Stapleton Steal The Show At 2021 CMT Music Awards: “It’s More Like That”


ELLE stole the show Wednesday night in a performance with country music star Chris Stapleton.

The Bay Area and Kentucky native cowboy joined forces for a “Hold On” collaboration that saw him launch into a stunning guitar solo as Stapleton watched in amazement – many on Twitter praising the pair for a well delivered performance.

After the performance, social media couldn’t contain their excitement to witness the lineup of crossovers displayed by the two superstars.

“The talent we have just witnessed within these four walls leaves us speechless and shivering. @ChrisStapleton @HERMusicx #CMTAwards, ” the official account of Bridgestone Arena, where the two performed, wrote.

One Twitter user even threw on his artist and repertoire and request “So how do we get a duet album with Chris Stapleton and HER?” “

“Two great performances in a row: Chris Stapleton and HER, then the incredible Carrie Underwood and NeedToBreathe”, wrote another viewer, who added: “Now it’s more like that!”

“She and Chris Stapleton were one of the best performances of the night!” rang another social media user.

2021 CMT MUSIC AWARDS RED CARPET MODE

Put simply, “She and Chris Stapleton just smashed everything CMT s —,” wrote a very impressed fan who added three fire emojis.

Stapleton also gave a solo effort of “Arkansas”, a performance he gave on a farm in Nashville.

Other performances throughout the star-studded night included the Lady A trio, who were joined on stage by Carly Pearce and Lindsay Ell.

She intervened after Gabby Barrett bows out, citing “personal circumstances”.

Meanwhile, hosts Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini also graced the stage and Hailey Whitters then took the stage to sing her hit “Fillin ‘My Cup”.

Country queen Miranda Lambert also performed a version of her hit “Tequila Does” around a campfire alongside Jon Randall and Jack Ingram.

Luke Bryan also rocked the house with his hit “Down to One”.

Maren Morris and Barrett were originally scheduled to perform at the CMT Awards, but withdrew.

The show ended with a performance of “Famous Friends” by Brown and Chris Young.
