Malaysia and other Muslim countries banned ‘Lightyear’ from playing in cinemas after Disney refused to cut a gay kissing scene from the animated film.

The Disney Pixar movie hit theaters on June 17.

Malaysia’s Film Censorship Board said it has approved the film under parental supervision for those under 13, subject to change. Scenes and dialogue he “found contained material promoting the LGBT lifestyle, which violates key aspects of the Film Censorship Guidelines”, were ordered to “cut and muted “.

“However, the film distributors did not agree to comply with the instructions” and instead decided to cancel the screening, the council said, adding that it would not compromise on LGBTQ scenes.

“The real truth is that these people are idiots,” Evans said in an interview with Reuters Television.

“There will always be people who are scared and don’t know and who try to hold on to what was before. But those people are dying like dinosaurs. I think the point is not to pay attention to them, to ‘move forward and embrace the growth that makes us Human.’
