During his interaction with the athletes, Modi said that the athletes have brought pride and glory to the nation.
“I will never forget the interaction with our champions who made India proud and glorious at the Deaflympics. The athletes shared their experiences and I could see the passion and determination in them. Best wishes everyone,” Modi tweeted after welcoming the athletes to his official residence.

“It was thanks to our champions that the Deaflympics of that time were the best for India!”
