President Biden will soon undergo a physical exam, but no specific date has been set, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said at a press conference on Thursday.

Video of the briefing shows Psaki answering questions from Playboy reporter Brian Karem as she wore a face mask and prepared to leave the White House briefing room after a session with a room full of reporters.

“Hey Jen, is he going to have a physical anytime soon and report it to the American public?” Karem asked about Biden, who turns 79 on November 20 and is the oldest man to ever serve in the Oval Office.

“He will,” Psaki replied.

” How long ? Do we know? Karem asked.

“But before the end of the year? Karem continued.

“I promise you,” Psaki replied. “Kelly [O’Donnell from NBC News] asks about it all the time. She keeps us on our toes. “

Psaki’s interaction with Karem came two days after the press secretary raised the issue of a physical examination of Biden in a previous briefing

“It is the norm for every president to have a medical examination,” Psaki said Tuesday. “He will also get a medical exam. When he gets a medical exam, we will make all of that information available.”

O’Donnell also asked Psaki about Biden’s health in September, after the president was seen coughing in several public appearances.

“I don’t think that’s a matter of concern,” Psaki said on September 16. “There are a whole host of reasons why we need to clear our throats or have a mild cold.”

Psaki added that a doctor is traveling with Biden and the president is undergoing frequent health assessments.

In May, during previous questions about Biden’s health, Psaki insisted Biden was in good physical condition and in good health.

“I can tell you that having traveled a lot with him he is sometimes difficult to follow,” said Psaki, who was 42 at the time and will be 43 on December 1.

New questions about Biden’s health may have been sparked by the recent hospitalization of former President Bill Clinton, who was being treated in California for a urologic infection and was due to be discharged from hospital on Sunday, after being admitted last Tuesday after feeling tired.

Clinton, who turned 75 in August, is almost four years younger than Biden.
