President Biden is considering Los Angles mayor Eric Garcetti for a prominent post in his administration as ambassador to India, Axios first reported on Tuesday.
Garcetti, who has served as mayor of one of the most populous cities in the United States since 2013, served as co-chair of the presidential campaign and of Biden’s inauguration committee.
Fox News was unable to immediately contact the mayor of Los Angeles for comment.

Garcetti had previously turned down an offer from Biden to serve in his administration, choosing to continue ruling his COVID-stricken city late last year.
