Taking to Twitter, Pooja Hegde wrote, “Extremely sad with how an IndiGo6E staff member by the name of Vipul Nakashe behaved with us today on our flight out of Mumbai. Absolutely arrogant, ignorant and threatening tone used with us for no reason. Normally I don’t tweet about these issues but it was truly appalling.”

Pooja’s tweet evoked a quick response from the airline, which apologized for the inconvenience caused to Puja and his team in an effort to resolve the issue.
The airline said: “Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Ms Hegde. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this has caused you and would like to assure you that we are certainly looking into this matter to ensure that it does not there is no recurrence.”
Pooja accepted the apology but stressed that the apology must first be made to her assistant costume designer, who she said had been discriminated against.
She tweeted: “Thank you for apologizing for his behavior but honestly first apology should go to my costume assistant who he discriminated against and finally to us. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, no matter where he’s from or who he is, there’s a way to talk.
“You can’t pretend a purse counts as carry-on baggage and not allow real carry-on baggage. More so, without good reason, you can’t threaten to disembark someone to show power. The purpose of this tweet was to hope that there is no abuse of power and all people are treated equally and benevolently.”
