MUMBAI: Versatile Ravindra Jadeja who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings for almost 10 years has not been followed by the franchise on their Instagram account.
Jadeja has also been ruled out of the current edition of the IPL due to a bruised rib, which he suffered in the clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 4.

“Ravindra Jadeja has reported a bruised rib and was unavailable for Chennai Super Kings’ game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He was under observation and based on medical advice he has been ruled out for the remainder of the IPL season,” an official statement from CSK said.
The all-rounder’s sudden departure and lack of follow-up sparked franchise rift rumors.
This led to speculation on social media that Jadeja abruptly quit the season due to issues with the team.
“CSK management and dhoni played cheap politics with #Jadeja first dhoni made him captain scapegoat to blame for worst season then sacked him from captain in just 8 games then dhoni criticized his captaincy then #CSK dumped him and now sacked from IPL BEST PLAYER but insulted,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“Something had been brewing for at times and that could be the reason why he gave up the captaincy. And Jadeja was not in his natural state. And then the news of his injury came… it seems a mystery,” said writes another user.

The versatile player was the most expensive player for CSK in IPL 2022, retained for Rs 16 crore. He was also named the team’s skipper, just days before the start of the tournament.

However, CSK have lost six games in their eight outings under their captaincy. Jadeja even lost his form and only managed to score 111 runs and took three wickets in those games.
He then ‘gave up’ the captaincy of the team to focus on his own game and ‘asked’ MS Dhoni to lead the team again.
Under Dhoni, CSK ended up winning two out of three games.
Jadeja hasn’t had a great season so far, scoring just 116 in 10 games at an average of 19.33 with the best score of 26*. He has only managed five wickets so far.
Super Kings will face Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
