Parson added that “$30 is the floor” and called on people to think about why they are “pushing the poor” while praying “Saint Elon.”
“1 adult for 1 child needs 30 dollars an hour all over the country. Rural, urban, suburban: $30 is the floor. As you say your nightly prayers to Saint Elon as you fall asleep tonight, think about why you hit the poor instead. to your celestial billionaire,” she added.
“No one should be poor in the richest country in the world,” she added.
Parson joined the Democratic Socialists of America after New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won his bid to join the U.S. House of Representatives.
