Interestingly, it’s not about the cold-blooded bride and groom, but rather the security concerns that allegedly drove the decision. In his last interview with Aaj Tak, Rahul Bhatt claimed that his sister would not take the plunge on either April 13 or April 14.
He reportedly told the portal that Alia and Ranbir had decided to change the date of their wedding and postpone it to a later date because information was “leaked” to the media. In his statement to the portal, he admitted the couple locked down on April 14 for the wedding and other festivities.
“The previous dates were the same, but after the information leaked to the media, the dates were changed,” Rahul told the portal.
“Security issues were also one of the reasons,” he said while setting out the reasons for the postponement of the date.
He also revealed that fans and media can expect an official announcement from the couple in the coming days. He said, “As far as I know, there will be an announcement about the date soon.”
He also hinted that the wedding would take place next week, around April 20.
Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, during a media interaction on film sets, said, “I don’t know when (it will happen). Let’s see when.”
She added, “I hope and pray that it happens very soon.”
