A port patrol rescued seven people around 3 a.m. after the crash, the Boston Fire Department said in a Tweeter earlier.
Authorities believe the victim to be female, the Boston Police Department said in a statement.
Five people were rushed to hospital by emergency medical services, according to the firefighters tweet. The age and condition of the patients were not disclosed.
Police “are actively examining the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident,” according to the press release. This is currently a death investigation.
