NBC has halted production of its upcoming “Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide” series amid reports of an outbreak of “explosive diarrhea”.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, giardia “spreads easily and can be spread from person to person or through contaminated water, food, surfaces or objects.” The most common way to get sick is by swallowing contaminated drinking water or recreational water, the website says.
