Some of the stars who started their day on Monday hearing they had received an Oscar nomination are speaking out ahead of the 93rd Academy Awards.
Married couple Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas announced the London nominees. Movie stars such as the late Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis and director Chloe Zhao have won historic nominations in their respective categories in a year marked by the coronavirus pandemic.
Many of the celebrities who won nominations were eager to express their shock and gratitude throughout the day as the excitement over the early morning announcement kicked in.
