“We offer a premium salad and wrap bar, which can be help-yourself or full-service,” says owner Ellie Thomas. From small-scale wrap platters to a full-service salad bar, Fresh Bar can accommodate parties of any size and presents a fun and healthy way to cater. Salad bars consist of 12 customizable toppings, your choice of lettuce and five dressings.

“We stand out from local grocers because of our extensive menu,” says Thomas. “We have your everyday veggies, but we also offer premium toppings like artichokes, hearts of palm, avocado, nuts, dried cranberries, beets, several meats and seven different cheeses.” All create-your-own and signature salads at Fresh Bar can be made into wraps, with each wrap platter feeding 12 to 14 people.

FRESH BAR RECEIVES THE OCHSNER HEALTH SYSTEM SEAL OF APPROVAL

NEW ORLEANS-Fresh Bar is a healthy meal option in New Orleans, and now the Uptown premium salad/wrap bar has the Ochsner stamp of approval to prove it!

 Fresh Bar is proud to announce its partnership in Ochsner Health System’s Eat Fit NOLA program. Oschsner and Fresh Bar teamed up and created 4 new delicious salads that fit the specific criteria for the program. Each salad featured as part of Eat Fit NOLA will be marked with the special Ochsner seal. In addition, all topping choices and dressings that meet the criteria will also have the seal next to the items on the menu.

 Registered dietician Molly Kimball of Ochsner’s Elmwood Fitness Center created Eat Fit NOLA. The program highlights specific items on the menu’s of participating restaurants that meet the health standards of the program.

 ”We use the American Heart Association recommendations as guidelines for sodium & saturated fat limits, plus take it a few steps further with zero white/refined carbs, and less than a teaspoon of added sugar,” Kimball said of the program’s criteria.

 Eat Fit NOLA seeks to make it easy for anyone to eat nutritiously anywhere in New Orleans and Fresh Bar is proud to be a part of its mission.

 The full-service salad/wrap bar is located at 6101 Magazine Street in Uptown. Fresh Bar is open Monday-Saturday from 11am-7pm.
